das Sagen hat? Ist es der Mann, meist
hinter der Kamera stehend oder ist es die
posierende Frau vor dem Objektiv? Oder ist
dieser Machtkampf, so er sich im Bild
niederschlägt, nur eine Inszenierung für
den Betrachter, damit dieser sich
bereitwillig dem Schaffen des Künstlers und
der Ausstrahlung des Modells
unterwirft? In den Arbeiten des
Amerikaners Dale Bradley ist es nicht
dieser ominöse Geschlechterkampf, der in
Erinnerung bleibt, sondern es ist die
Harmonie zwischen männlicher und
weiblicher Komponente, die das Wesentliche
an seinen Fotos ausmacht. |

Bradley is a Los Angeles based
photographer who got started in erotic
imagery somewhat by accident. An aspiring
model asked if he would kindly help her
create a portfolio. Assuming she wanted
the standard headshots and fashion shots,
Dale began to prepare his studio. When he
turned around, there she stood completely
naked. She was beautiful. Dale let out a
swift gasp and dropped his camera right on
the floor... then he proceeded to trip
over a wire, knocking over a lightstand...
then the backdrop fell down. She giggled.
Years later our clumbsy photographer still
enjoys shooting nudes whenever the
opportunity arises. Many of Dale Bradley's
sensual images are not of professional
models but real women who have requested a
nude sitting.
"It's the ultimate ego boost when
these beautiful women admire your work and
want you to photograph them nude" he
confesses, "and who am I to say
no?".
