I
was born and live in Belgium, for 31 years now.
I'm passionate with drawing since I
was a child. I first used an airbrush to paint
my pin-ups, but I quickly dropped it when I
discovered the possibilities of the computer. I
decided do start a career in illustration in
June 2002. I work mainly for Cybermedia, a
Dutch web content and acces provider, which uses
my painting as illustrations for their customers.
Don't hesitate to contact me for any remark or
question, I'll answer ASAP.

The
images presented in the galery section has been
realised during the last 2 year, from pencil
drawings scanned and colorised with my P.C. I
use a Wacom graphic table, and work mainly with
the airbrush tool. All the effects are achieved
the way they would be with a normal airbrush,
with the advantage to be able to create and
store masks whenever needed, and to try any kind
of experiment that can be deleted later.
Like every realistic drawer, I need a model to
get a sufficient quality level. I first found
inspiration in pictures published in magazines
or on the net, but I work now out of my own
pictures. A nice model, two spots and a digital
Olympus C-2500 can provide in two hours enough
to work for monthes! My pictures are pretty far
away from professional ones, but they contain
all the necessary "informations" (proportions,
attitudes, and light and shadows) needed to draw
and colorize.
When the sketch in finished, the outlines are
calqued, scanned and colorised. The whall work
takes about fourty hours. The images can then be
printed in the format needed, up to huge formats
due to the very high resolution of the original.
For a use on the net, the character can be
dissociate from the background, to enable a
change of environment.
For posters and flyers, all the texts and
effects are also done with Photoshop6, a great
tool.
