Mac
McPherson is an English photographer who ran his
own Information Technology consulting firm for
twelve years before becoming a professional
photographer. The career change was prompted by
the onset of a serious illness, and since his
consulting career required frequent travel
throughout Europe, he turned his passion for
photography into his full-time professional
focus.
Mac and his wife live in Burgess Hill, West
Sussex, UK which is about 15 miles from Brighton
of the South Coast and about 60 miles from
London. He shoots with a Canon Eos300 and uses
Tungsten lighting though he prefers to use
available light whenever possible. For color
work he incorporates Fuji transparencies. He
uses Agfa Scala transparencies for black &
white.
Mac has been featured at several exhibitions in
the U.K. and Europe as well as being featured in
various European online art galleries. One of
his stated goals is "..to create memorable
pictures that are also affordable to beginning
collectors."
